Im doing this reveiw through my parents account (just a note). I used this to upgrade my 333 imacs ram from 96 to 160mb and it works beuatifully. My brothers (2 out of 3 anyway) agree that its much faster. Next step is a 7200 80gb hardrive instead of the 4500 6gb standard drive so i get enough room to upgrade from jaguar to panther, if you want to do this remember to make the 1st ie the system partition smaller than 8 gig. Im going for 7 to be safe. Hoping to squeeze 3 more years at least out of this system but im sure i can do 5 or more with some cooperation from the users and maybe even a 10k rpm drive. Bottom line this ram worked well for me. Sorry for documenting the "imac 333 upgrade saga" just sharing.

My mother-in-law's older computer only had 256 meg of RAM and was very slow. I got two of these and switched her to 1 gig total of RAM and it really made a difference. She doesn't do anything complicated, but just basic stuff like browsing the web, using Word, and viewing pictures. All of these work better now. If you already have 2 gug, more memory might not help but if you are running an older machine with 256k or 512k, more memory DOES help. Amazon's & Kingston have a great site to ensure you get the exact memory you need for your device as there are many versions. Keep in mind most laptops have two slots for memory and most desktops have four. I pitched the one 256k module that was installed and installed two of these. When the laptop was restarted, it and Windows immediately saw the extra memory and I didn't have to do anything. You can browse the Web for user manual instructions on how to open your laptop case to install the memory.

I used Corsair to upgrade my MacBook from 2GB to 4GB. I heard about corsair from the IT specialist at work for having great performance and competitive prices.

When I installed them they worked right away and I noticed right away speed enhancement. Especially in my video and audio editing programs. The playback has never been so smooth.

Highly recommend this to anyone but especially Mac users who are getting confused with "Mac RAM" and are on a budget.

The memory upgrade didn't do anything to help my PC performance. This would suggest a deeper problem with the PC, but i would think an additional GB of memory would show some improvement in PC performance.
