I used this to upgrade an old white Macbook from the standard 1GB to 2.5GB, by replacing one of the pre-installed 512MB modules. It worked great - replacing the memory was truly easy, even for a complete non-expert like me. All you need is a screwdriver. No problems with the laptop afterwards, and worked much faster with the memory upgrade when using multiple programs. Definitely a great buy compared to the price you will pay in an Apple store or Best Buy.

Wanting to upgrade my memory from 1GB to 2GB, I purchased 2 of these 1GB sticks. After struggling with a tiny screwdriver to get the L-plate off the laptop, these little guys popped right in. I had no problems getting them to set, and my MacBook recognized them instantly. What a difference another GB made! High quality and highly recommended!

Well worth it if you're using a macbook pro. The only downside is having to take one of your chips out and figuring out what you're going to do with it.
